Dr. Janine Lex earned her doctorate in Chiropractic in 1984. She earned her certification in acupuncture in the early nineties through the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute, University of Toronto Medical School. More about her experience and training. For structural and pain syndromes the weaving of acupuncture, structural integration and good food advice have made her approach unique and much sought after by those who have not found relief elsewhere.
She has lectured extensively about the new paradigm of body/mind medicine. A former community-based professor at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Dr. Lex has taught medical students all about natural, holistic and integrated medicine. Spanning the continuum of health services education she continues to lecture for expanding integration of healthy living to bodyworkers and patients.
Currently, Dr. Lex provides chiropractic and acupuncture treatment, Low level laser therapy, as well as nutritional consultation. Her clientele includes infants, children, adults and seniors. Dr.Lex is certified through the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork to provide continuing education for massage therapists. She currently lectures and trains therapists around the country in techniques for increased effectiveness and ease in their practice.
Teresa Knecht is a 1998 graduate of Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, with a degree focusing on Sociology, Philosophy, and Women’s Studies.
As director, Teresa supports the office team to actualize common goals for the organization.
Christy Hugeback has been a resident of Tidewater since 1981. We are pleased to welcome her back to the workforce and onto our team, now that her 3 beautiful daughters are all now out of the nest.
As office manager, Christy will assist you in all aspects of your visit to ensure a helpful and pleasant experience.
Lorraine Pilarski, CMT
Lorraine has over 15 years experience specializing in Cranial Sacral Therapy and Manual Lymphatic Drainage.
She has studied and worked abroad at the Vodder Health Clinic in Valchee, Austria. Aside from her extensive qualifications and skills, she has a holistic approach to client care. She shows compassion for her clients with sensitivity, caring and has a fun loving attitude with a healing approach.
